Hotels for Carnival

Here are three destinations to experience and enjoy the carnival intensely, one of the most uninhibited, noisy, and folkloric festivities of the year.

It is the quintessential PARTY of the Canary capital. For more than five centuries, Las Palmas has devoted itself body and soul to the organization of its carnival. Santa Catalina Park becomes the epicenter of the celebration, with the election of the Carnival Queen and the Grand Parade as essential events.
One of the most extravagant and lively carnivals in Spain is the one in Sitges. Parades, floats, and costumes laden with sequins and feathers bring the streets of this seaside town to life for a week. It starts on "Fat Thursday" with the arrival of "His Majesty Carnestoltes" and his satirical critique speech of the town's public life.

The people of Badajoz love to paint their faces, put on a wig, grab a trumpet or percussion, and hit the streets to experience the carnival. Months of preparations come to fruition in February when the city bursts into color, joy, chants, and samba rhythms.
